Update : DLRP Today, Disney Central plaza TF1
Details are still surfacing this afternoon of an incident at Big Thunder Mountain in Frontierland, Disneyland Park at around 2.50pm earlier today. An element of decorative rockwork is reported to have come loose, striking guests riding the mine train roller coaster. French news sources are currently reporting five injuries, including one guest “seriously” injured — a 38-year old man who was apparently struck on the head and has been taken a nearby hospital. The four other guests, who were “injured slightly”, were treated on the spot.
The prop rock is suggested to have fallen in the final lift hill scene, where the train climbs amid a rumbling earthquake as the faux rockwork creaks and moves overhead.
